Goodbye 2010! Hello 2011!

Here's to wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year.  2010 was quite a busy year.  At least I had some fun along the way.  Over the past year I got back into photography after a long time(thanx to a new camera).  I had the chance to do several band gigs over the past year.  This is something that I haven't done in over a decade.  This is something I really missed doing.  Getting back into it I had the chance to party with some old friends and make some new ones.  Overall it's been fun and I'm looking forward to the upcoming new year.  I thought I'd take this chance to post some pix of the bands I've shot over the past year and thank the guys for putting up with me.

Scotty and the Slammers are always a great party band.  I've known these guys for a long time and they are always fun!

Even though these guys aren't currently playing out, it was always a good time when the played.  I fortunately got to shoot them this one time.

These are couple of very good friends of mine.  Almost partners in crime.  This was their first gig.

Had a great time with this band!  I can't wait to see them again.

The Ric Toole band is always a great time.  Awesome music and party atmosphere!

James Supra Blues Band!  What else can I say, but blues at it finest!

Jynx was an unexpected gig.  I had done another band earlier that night and wandered in for a beer and they were playing.  I'm glad I did.  I can't wait to see them again.

Here's another unexpected shoot.  I shot bands at this place before and one thing I do remember.  The lighting sucks.  I hope to see these guys again under better lighting circumstances.

I had closed out the year with these guys.  What a way to go out, shooting one of the guys that I've shot for nearly thirty years! Really rang out the year on a major high!

I had alot of fun over the past year and can't wait for the upcoming year!  Enjoy!

Cheers!

Stone Cat @ Citizen's Fire Co. #2 in Emmaus 12/17/2010

This was a shoot I was really looking forward to.  In the eleventh hour the band had a name change to 'Stone Cat'.  That aside, the band was simply amazing with their '80's styling and Raggae beat!

Joey is one of, if not the best sax player I've seen.  I've been shooting him at gigs since the early '80's.  If it weren't for him I wouldn't be shooting bands today!

Sometimes you get lucky.  All the years I've taken pix of Joey, he is by far the hardest entertainer to get a decent shot of.  He's a ball of energy!

All in all, the band was real fun to see!  I think everyone who turned out to see them had a hell of a lot of fun.  Enjoy!

Cheers!
Mike
